facebook Dear All, First of all, thanks for checking out the site! With so much stuff out there in cyberspace, it is a privilege to share my music, my experiences and myself with you. Additionally, after many trials and tribulations, I am happy to announce the release of my first EP “Long Journey Home.” I am so excited that it will finally be out there for people to enjoy. That being said, hope you’ll all have a listen and ENJOY! As they say here in Holland: GROETJES (Cheers/Regards)?

Story

Hana Fe's Journey

Hana FEHana Fe's Journeyhe began piano at the age of 7, flute at 9, voice at 10 and composing music on these instruments at 12. When she picked up guitar a year later, her music compositions began to take a new direction, incorporating Indie Rock sounds into her classical music-inspired, pop music pieces. Throughout Middle and High School, songs such as “Broken,” “Stay” and “Have a Good Day” were showcased during local Coffeehouse jams, various school performances and early self-made recordings made with an ADAT 8-track recorder and rudimentary computer software. After attending a summer program at Berklee College of Music at the age of 16, Jazz made its way into her music repertoire, as can be heard in “Might Have Been.”

Aside from her musical endeavors at the University of Richmond, she has also studied Music Composition at the University of Hong Kong. Among her many musical influences are John Mayer, Leona Naess, Pete Yorn and Vanessa Carlton.

Currently, she is completing a Research Masters Degree in History at Leiden University in the Netherlands, and is slated to take up a Ph.D. position at University College London in the fall of 2011. And, while her life has taken many unexpected turns, music remains an important part of it.
